How it's made
An ancient hash making art form made modern.
Whole cannabis plants are carefully harvested at peak ripeness and frozen immediately to protect the delicate resin coating the flowers. As hash makers, we work closely with our farmers to honor their months of hard work each year. The highest quality live rosin is made in the field.
Frozen flowers are soaked in reverse osmosis water and gently agitated to separate the trichomes from the plant material. The trichome heads contain the resin which gives each cannabis variety its unique aroma, flavor and effect. These heads are then separated by grade using mesh bags and freeze dried to preserve the essence of the living plant.
Dried trichome heads or "ice hash" is then packed into filter bags and pressed using minimal heat and pressure for further refinement. This process releases the cannabinoid- and terpene-rich oil from the resin glands and removes contaminants like waxes, lipids and residual plant matter. We call this shatter-like oil "fresh press" live rosin.
Finally, this freshly pressed rosin is homogenized and loaded into jars for curing. We use the same premium quality live rosin for all of our products whether it is whipped into badder for our jars or melted and filled into our all-in-ones.
Why Solventless
Most concentrates use solvents like butane, propane and ethanol to strip the resin from the plant. Solventless extraction allows us to achieve this separation using only water.
By keeping the trichome heads intact after washing, we are also able to isolate and use only the highest quality resin to produce our live rosin while maintaining the plant's natural balance of terpenes and cannabinoids.
